Alicia Keys Celebrates Despite Winter

Wintry weather of New York city couldn't stop Alicia Keys to celebrate her birthday bash - stars including JAY-Z and BEYONCE braved a blizzard to attend her party.

On Tuesday (25Jan11) singer turned 30 years old and she marked the milestone with a bash, organised by her husband Swizz Beatz, at the Casa La Femme restaurant in Manhattan on Wednesday night (26Jan11).

The bad weather threatened the event theme as more than 19 inches (48 centimetres) of snow fell on the city but despite this Keys renowned guests braved the icy conditions to attend.

According to New York Post gossip column Page Six,The singer was reportedly several hours late as she struggled through the snow and when she left the bash in the early hours of the morning, restaurant staff helped dig her car out from a drift,.

Bruno Mars Wants Collaboration With Alicia Keys

It has been revealed by chart-toppers Bruno Mars that he personally desire to work with Alicia Keys tops the list.

Burno Mars the most successful singer/songwriter of 2010,was being quizzed on his wish list of potential collaborators and named Alicia Keys first.

"I always say I wanna work with Alicia Keys," he said on Kiss FM.

"I'm in awe of her. I'm a big fan of her, how she carries herself, her great music and her artistry."

“I'm a big fan of the UK's Jessie J and The Saturdays too." are the other British name he had in his mind.

He would also want to collaborate with Kanye West, Jack White and Kings of Leon, saying it “would be fun”.

Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys reunite for album

Jennifer Hudson's has decided to return to music industry claiming "everything is new.".Jennifer follow up to her self titled debut. Enlisting Alicia Keys for the effort, which is due this Spring, Hudson says "I feel that it's like an evolution from my last project".

Alicia Keys and Hudson had work together previously where they shared the big screen in the award-winning film 'The Secret Life of Bees' in 2008.

The date of release of album has not been confirmed yet which sources say could be in stores as early as February.

No matter when it comes out, Hudson is ready for you to hear her story.

"I'm like people are watching Jennifer, so let me give you something to look at," she says. "Let me give you something to listen to. Let me tell you my story."

Alicia Keys releases 'Speechless'

A video documentary of the song, "Speechless," has been released by Alicia Keys' hubby, Swizz Beatz,yesterday.

Since the birth of their son, Egypt, on Oct. 14,it is the first song Keys has recorded.
She tribute this song to to their son and how he makes them feel every time they look at him.

The Grammy Award-winning singer says, “To be able to write this song about him and how he makes me speechless, the poet in me is gone away ’cause I don’t even know what to say when I look at him…”

The song features Philly rapper Eve, who has collaborated with Keys before for her track, "Gangsta Lovin."

Alicia Keys Writes 'Speechless'

Alicia Keys is following features of Lauryn Hill when it comes to artistically expressing her joy over a first child born.

Hill wrote “Zion” which revealed on her Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album, and now Keys has followed suit with “Speechless.”

In a documentary about songwriting process she described with husband Swizz Beatz and rapper Eve,“I haven’t really put any songs out since my son was born, so to be able to write this song that talks about him and how he makes me speechless … like the poet in me is gone away because I don’t even know what to say when I look at him.

“To just put something out that shows what you feel and what you’re going through — at the moment you’re going through it — and let the world hear it, let people vibe with you on it … that’s like music.”
