Alicia Keys has revealed she was to become a mother

Singer Alicia Keys has revealed that he believed she was to become a mother.

The Fallin’ singer called an eight-month-old son of Egypt is with rapper Swizz Beatz, has said that motherhood has made her more and more creative.

Speaking to MTV News, Keys revealed: “I never was one to get a lot of sleep anyway, because of the nature of what I do and how much we fly and how much we work,”

“So honestly, I’ll tell Egypt, ‘that’s all you got?! You only got waking up every three hours, that’s it? C’mon!’ I guess in a way, I was built for it.”

The New Yorker added: “The past year has been incredible; just so many blessings, being able to be a mommy, being able to be a wife and just really finding my centre and my place of comfort … being a mom is like, spectacular. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had, period. I feel like I’m having more fun than I’ve ever had in my whole life.

I feel like I’m definitely more creative. I’m more thoughtful about my plans and the things that I do, so overall everything is like a hundred times better.”

Egypt is Alicia's son alongside her husband Swiss Beatz, and Kassem is Swiss' son from a last relationship.

The Fallin' singer's recent trip to Egypt the children talked about love.

She said, "He's a rock star champion flyer. I can take him on a six or seven hour plane or if we take the train from Paris to London, he rolls with it. His temperament is super cool."

The singer's recent Grammy win her first album Songs in A Minor marked the 10th, anniversary. Tribute paid to her home city of New York as she performed to a crowd of fans at the Beacon Theatre.

Keys how she had to spend hours riding the subway in New York told the audience, adding: "The city really wrote a lot of that first album."

Keys recently described her debut album as her "coming of age", adding: "I think that people related to Songs in A Minor because it was just my truth at that time. I just wanted to be myself, and being myself was like being every girl I knew, you know? Being every girl in Harlem, in Brooklyn, in Queens. So I think people really could, hopefully, feel that."

She has also revealed that she has big plans for the future, saying: "I want to get into theatre on Broadway, in regards to writing and producing. I want to write and produce film and continue to act. There is so much more that I have to say and so many powerful ways I want to do it."

Alicia Keys at Madame Tussauds in New York

Alicia Keys at Madame Tussauds in New York today unveiled a wax statue and gave it two thumbs up.

She raved to MTV News, "I actually think it's really, really good! I was looking close up: It's like my eyebrows are for real, and it's like my eyes are for real, and the bone structure of my chin, like, 'Look, that's my chin! That's my jaw!'"

Keys on Good Morning America in Times Square this morning also performed as a fire truck with sirens blaring from roared.

She added, "It's incredible. It's really incredible, and I think it's so cool to be a part of the New York City part of the exhibit. I was born and raised here, this is my home, so it's so perfect."
